This Silicon Valley tech manufacturer produces microprocessors found in virtually every brand of cell phone and digital camera. They approached IoEnergy for a building automation system that would lower their utility bills and improve the building efficiency and lighting in their engineering complex. The update needed to be cutting edge, and provide data-enhanced building intelligence that the engineers would both benefit from and appreciate. Additionally, the implementation team needed help developing the business case for the CFO.

The project resulted in lower utility bills, improved lighting, and reduced lighting maintenance. More importantly, they now have access to granular “Big Data” on occupancy patterns, temperature, and energy consumption. The upgrade enabled participation in utility-sponsored demand response programs and was financed in part by custom utility rebates.
